How to get to Tournai ?

Tournai is situated at 25 km from Lille, 50 km from Mons and 65 km from Brussels. It is ideally located next to an intersection of motorways and has a railway station where trains arrive from and depart to Mouscron, Lille, Kortrijk (Courtrai), Brussels, Mons, Charleroi, Namur and Liège on a daily basis. In other words, the city is very easily accessible by train and by car.

    Take the A8 – E429 motorway at Halle.
    Exit 33 Tournai - Kain.
  • From Mons-Namur-Liège
    Take the E42 motorway.
    Exit 32 Tournai - Vaulx.
  • From Mouscron – Brugge (Bruges)
    Take the E42/E17.
    Exit 34 Tournai Ouest.
  • From Lille
    Take the A1/E17/E42 motorway (Autoroute du Nord) and then take the A27/E42 motorway.
    Exit 35 Tournai-Froyennes.

Esplanade de l'Europe parking lot - FREE!

Parking Quai Andreï Sakharov - FREE!

Free parking along the River Scheldt, within the city walls. Address: Quai Andreï Sakharov 7500 Tournai (GPS coordinates: 50.611403 - 3.386052).

Reine Astrid car park

Paying car park near the Grand Place in Tournai with a capacity of 120 spaces. Address: Place Reine Astrid 7500 Tournai (GPS coordinates: 50.604272 - 3.388901).

"Fort Rouge" car park

Covered and paid Q-Park car park near the Grand-Place with a capacity of 116 spaces. Address: Rue Perdue 7500 Tournai (GPS coordinates: 50.607244 - 3.384433).

Private car parks

If you come to Tournai by car and wish to park in the street outside the private car parks, several possibilities are available to you:

  • Paid zone (first 30 minutes free): register your license plate number via the parking meter (payment by credit card), via SMS or the 4411 app (transaction fees)
  • Blue zone (max 2 hours of parking using a blue disc on the same spot)

Parking control is suspended from Saturday at 12:30 until Monday at 9:00 a.m.
